The quiet problem

Who is actually looking after your WordPress site?

For a lot of businesses the honest answer is nobody in particular. The site went live, the developer moved on, and updates, backups and security checks became jobs everyone assumed someone else was doing.

WordPress sites rarely fail all at once. A contact form stops sending, a plugin slips a few versions behind, a backup stops running. Each one is small until a customer points it out.

Our WordPress maintenance services give that work an owner. Depending on your plan, we handle updates, backups, security checks and performance monitoring, and you speak directly to the people doing it.

No hand-offs to other agencies or freelancers. The five people who plan, build and support WordPress sites are the same people looking after yours.

Signs your WordPress site needs a care plan

Most sites that come to us are not broken. They are drifting, collecting small issues because nobody on the team owns updates, backups or security.

If two or more of these sound familiar, a WordPress maintenance plan is worth a conversation.

  • Your dashboard shows a long list of pending updates
  • Nobody can say when the last backup was tested
  • Enquiries from the contact form sometimes go missing
  • Your host keeps warning about an outdated PHP version
  • Simple text edits wait in a queue for a developer

What we deliver

The routine work that keeps WordPress healthy

Plans differ in scope, so the exact tasks and how often they run are written into your proposal. These are the areas a plan can cover.

  • WordPress core, plugin and theme updates, checked afterwards
  • Backups confirmed and ready to restore
  • Security checks, with flagged issues followed up
  • Performance monitoring and speed troubleshooting
  • Contact form and email delivery checks
  • Small content changes and help with PHP upgrades
  • Updates with a human check

Updates are reviewed before they go on and the site is checked once they have. Where your plan includes it, bigger updates are tried on a private staging copy first.

    Updates
  • Backups that actually restore

A backup only helps if it works. Where backups are part of your plan, we confirm they complete and keep track of the last good copy, so a bad update or a hack can be rolled back.

    Backups
  • People who know your site

Requests go to the same small team every time, Saturday to Thursday, with a reply within one business day.

Our process

How your WordPress care plan gets started

What the plan covers and its price in USD are agreed in writing before it begins.

  1. Intro call

We learn how the site is used, who edits it and what has gone wrong in the past.

  2. Site check

Theme, plugins, PHP version, hosting and current backups are reviewed before we take anything over.

  3. Written proposal

Plan contents, how often each task runs and the price in USD, set out in writing.

  4. Plan setup

Backups, performance monitoring and security checks are put in place, as your plan requires.

  5. Ongoing care

Updates are checked, backups confirmed and small changes handled as you send them in.

  6. Kept informed

Anything that needs your decision is explained in plain English before we act on it.

Month to month

What ongoing WordPress maintenance looks like

The routine behind a WordPress site that simply keeps working.

Good maintenance is mostly invisible. You notice it in what doesn’t happen: no missing enquiries, no broken pages after an update.

When something does go wrong, the people fixing it already know the site and have a recent backup to hand.

  1. Updates arrive

New versions of WordPress, your plugins and your theme are reviewed before they are applied.

  2. Checks run

Backups, speed, security and contact forms are checked on the schedule your plan sets.

  3. Issues get fixed

Anything broken or flagged is dealt with, or raised with you when it needs a decision.

  4. You hear back

You are told what changed and why, without the jargon.

A well-maintained website is one you stop worrying about.

FAQs

WordPress maintenance FAQs

How much do WordPress maintenance services cost?

Every plan is quoted individually in USD after a short call. The price depends on the size of the site, the plugins it runs and how many small changes you expect. You get the plan contents and price in a written proposal before anything starts.

What is included in a WordPress maintenance plan?

Depending on your plan: core, plugin and theme updates, backups, security checks, performance monitoring, troubleshooting and small content changes. The exact list is written into your proposal, so you know what is covered and what would be quoted separately.

Will WordPress updates break my site?

Any update can clash with another plugin or the theme, which is why we check updates instead of switching on automatic updates for everything. The site is checked once updates are live, and where your plan includes it, larger updates are tried on a staging copy first. If something does break, we roll back from a backup and fix the cause.

Can you take over a WordPress site another developer built?

Yes. We start with a site check covering the theme, plugins, PHP version, hosting and existing backups, so we know what we are taking on. If anything needs fixing before regular maintenance makes sense, we explain it and quote it separately.

My WordPress contact form stopped sending emails. Can you fix it?

Usually, yes. The common cause is WordPress sending mail straight from the web server, which many inboxes treat as spam or reject. The fix is normally to send through a proper SMTP or transactional email service, with SPF and DKIM records set up on your domain.

What happens if my WordPress site gets hacked?

If your plan includes security support, we restore a clean backup, find and close the way in, and update or replace whatever was exploited. Passwords are changed, and if Google has flagged the site in Search Console’s Security issues report, we fix the listed problems and request a review.

When can I reach you for WordPress support?

Our support days are Saturday to Thursday, and every request gets a reply within one business day. Small change requests, such as editing text or swapping an image, can be sent at any time and are handled as part of your plan where it includes them.
