WooCommerce maintenance · Shopify store care
Store maintenance for WooCommerce and Shopify: updates applied with orders in mind, backups that include orders, and checkout checked by people who know your setup.
Looked after by the same five-person team that builds WooCommerce and Shopify stores.
Businesses we have worked with
Why stores need different care
A broken layout on a brochure site is embarrassing. On a store, one bad update can stop checkout, cut off a payment gateway or keep order emails from reaching customers, often with no error you would ever see.
Those failures are quiet. The first sign is usually a dip in orders, or a customer asking where their confirmation went.
Our eCommerce website maintenance is planned around that risk. Updates go on with orders in mind and, where your plan includes it, checkout is tested with a real test order afterwards. WooCommerce and Shopify fail in different places, so each plan is set up for the platform you run.
Plans are optional and agreed separately from any build. Tell us when your busy weeks fall and larger updates can be scheduled around them.
Free site audit Three priorities for your store
Online store support tends to get attention only when something stops working, and that usually happens in a busy week.
A maintenance plan swaps that for scheduled updates, checks and backups, run by people who already know how your store is set up.

What’s covered
Depending on your plan, maintenance covers the work below. The exact tasks and how often they run are agreed in writing before we start.
On plans that include it, we place a test order after updates or payment gateway changes, then confirm the payment, order status and emails are right.
CheckoutOn WooCommerce we handle WordPress core, WooCommerce, theme and extension updates. Shopify runs the platform itself, so there the work is themes, apps and store settings.
PlatformProduct edits, banner swaps and content updates can be part of the plan, depending on the level you choose.

How it works
How often each step runs depends on your plan, and is set out in writing with the price in USD before we start.
We record your platform, payment gateways, key extensions or apps and how orders move through the store.
On WooCommerce, a full backup including orders and customers is taken before anything changes.
Core, theme, extension or app updates go in, with release notes read for anything that touches orders.
An order is run through checkout to confirm payment, stock and the order emails.
Product and category pages are timed, security checks run and anything unusual is flagged.
Changes are logged, issues raised with you, and small edits handled within the plan.
When something breaks
What happens after you tell us something in your store is wrong.
A store fault costs sales for as long as it lasts, so the first job is working out what changed.
Because updates and backups are logged as we go, the list of likely causes is usually short.
Message us any day from Saturday to Thursday and get a reply within one business day.
We follow the steps your customer took, so we see the fault for ourselves.
The cause is corrected, or the change is rolled back from a backup when that is the safer route.
A fresh test order checks payment, stock and emails before the request is closed.
A store only works when a customer can finish their order.

Plans are quoted individually in USD after a short call. The price depends on your platform, how many extensions or apps you run, how often updates are needed and whether small content changes are included. You get the scope and price in writing before the plan starts.
Depending on your plan: WordPress core, WooCommerce and extension updates, backups that include orders and customers, security checks, speed monitoring and small changes. Where your plan includes it, we place a test order after updates to confirm checkout, payment and order emails still work.
Shopify hosts the store and handles platform updates, so there is less to patch than on WooCommerce. Shopify store maintenance still covers theme updates, removing apps you no longer use, checking that leftover app code is gone and making product or content changes.
WooCommerce extensions often hook into checkout, payments and order emails, so one update can change how another behaves. Payment gateways also change their requirements from time to time. That is why we test an order after updates instead of only checking that the homepage loads.
We work Saturday to Thursday and reply to every message within one business day. If checkout or payments are affected, say so in your message so we can look at that first.
Yes, depending on your plan. Ahead of a sale we can check stock, test discount codes and checkout, review speed on the product and category pages that will get the traffic, and take a fresh backup. Sharing your sale dates early gives us room to do this properly.
Maintenance is optional and agreed separately from any build, so you can start a plan when your store launches or later. For a store built by someone else, we review the platform, theme, extensions or apps and payment setup first, and quote any fixes needed before regular maintenance begins.
