Local SEO services for small businesses

Local SEO services that help people nearby find you in Google Maps and local results, choose you over the business down the road and call.

Planned and done by our own five-person team, with one account manager as your point of contact.

How local search works

Google shows two sets of local results, and each needs its own work

Type “dentist near me” and Google normally answers with a map of three businesses, followed by the regular list of websites. The map draws mostly on your Google Business Profile, your reviews and where the searcher is standing. The list underneath draws on your website.

Good local SEO covers both. Plenty of people scroll past the map to read a few websites before they call, and a polished profile that leads to a thin site often loses the job right at the end.

Your location is fixed. What we work on is everything else Google weighs: how clearly your profile and pages say what you do, which areas you serve, and how much other people in your area trust you.

We never buy, write or reward reviews. We help you ask real customers at the right moment, and we draft honest replies to every review, including the awkward ones.

When should a business invest in local SEO?

Local SEO pays off best when you know which jobs you want more of and which towns or neighborhoods you want them from.

Owners usually contact us after noticing one or more of these.

  • Rivals with fewer reviews show above you in Google Maps
  • Your Business Profile has old hours, photos or services
  • Directories list different addresses or phone numbers for you
  • You serve several areas but your site has one general page
  • You have no idea how many calls come from Google

Our process

How our local SEO work runs

The areas, services and priorities are agreed in writing before any work begins.

  1. Discovery call

The jobs you want more of, the areas you cover and where your customers come from today.

  2. Local research

Search terms people use in your area, and the profiles and sites that currently beat yours.

  3. Written proposal

Tasks, benchmarks and a price in USD, set out for you to read and approve.

  4. Profile and citations

Business Profile completed, categories corrected and inconsistent listings fixed by hand.

  5. Pages, links and tracking

Area pages written, local links built, schema added and call tracking connected in GA4.

  6. Monthly reporting

Calls, inquiries, work completed and next steps, explained in plain English.

From search to call

How a local search turns into a booked job

The few steps between someone typing “near me” and your phone ringing.

Local searches tend to be decided quickly. The nearby business with the most complete profile and the most convincing reviews usually gets the first call.

Our job is to make sure that business is yours at every step, from the map pin to the contact button.

  1. They search

Someone with a leaking boiler types “plumber near me” into their phone.

  2. They compare

They scan the map for star ratings, recent reviews, photos, opening hours and distance.

  3. They check

A quick look at your website confirms you do that job, in their area, and can come soon.

  4. They call

A tap to call or a short form, tracked in GA4, so you know the lead came from search.

The map puts you on the shortlist. Your profile and pages get you the call.

FAQs

Local SEO services: common questions

Curious how your business looks in Maps right now? Send us your business name.

How much do local SEO services cost?

It depends on how many locations and services you want to be found for, and how much your profile and website need before they can compete. After a short call and a look at your listings, you get a written proposal with the scope and a price in USD. We do not sell fixed packages, because a one-van trade and a firm with several offices need very different amounts of work.

How long does local SEO take to work?

Fixes like a corrected Business Profile or consistent listings can be picked up fairly quickly, while reviews, links and new pages build up over time. How fast you move depends on your area, your competitors and where you start from. Your proposal sets out benchmarks and when we will review them with you, and we will not promise a ranking position.

How do I rank higher in Google Maps?

Google says local results are based on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot change distance, so the work goes into the other two: accurate categories and services on your profile, a steady stream of genuine reviews, consistent details across directories and a website that supports what the profile claims.

Can you help us get more Google reviews?

Yes. We set up a simple routine for asking happy customers, such as a short link sent after each job, and we draft replies to the reviews you receive. We never buy reviews, write fake ones or offer rewards, because Google can remove them or suspend the profile.

Do I need a separate page for every town I serve?

Only for towns where you have something useful to say. Pages that just swap the place name into the same text are doorway pages, which Google treats as spam. Our writers build each area page around real detail: jobs you have done there, travel times and any local rules that apply.

My business has no storefront. Can it still appear in Maps?

Yes. Service-area businesses can hide their address on Google Business Profile and list the areas they cover instead. You still need a real address to verify the profile, and your website then carries more of the job of showing where you work.

How will I know local SEO is working?

We set up call and form tracking in GA4 at the start, so the figures come from your own accounts. Your Business Profile adds calls, direction requests and website clicks from Maps and Search. Each month you get a plain-English report on those numbers, the work done and what comes next.
