eCommerce website development for product brands

Online stores planned around your products, checkout and fulfillment, then built on WooCommerce or Shopify depending on how your business sells.

We build stores for clients from the US and Canada to Australia, New Zealand and the UAE.

Businesses we have worked with

Our approach

eCommerce development that starts with how you sell

Before anyone picks a theme, we look at the business behind the store: what you sell, how many products and variants you carry, where you ship, and which systems handle stock, accounts and fulfillment.

Those answers decide the platform. WooCommerce and Shopify both run strong stores, and we put our recommendation for yours in writing, with the reasons.

After that, the build is a long run of practical details: category structure, filters, product pages, cart, checkout, payments, shipping, tax, order emails and GA4 eCommerce tracking.

Sales are usually lost in small moments: a delivery charge that appears at the last step, a coupon box that looks broken, a product photo cropped badly on a phone. We test for those on real devices before launch.

When is a new online store worth building?

Many stores begin with a quick setup and keep it long after the business has moved on. The cost turns up as extra admin hours and abandoned carts.

A proper eCommerce website development project fixes the structure: how products are organized, how orders move and how data reaches your other tools.

  • Stock is updated by hand in more than one place
  • Phone shoppers give up before they reach checkout
  • Delivery costs only appear at the final step
  • Shoppers cannot find products without the search box
  • Orders are retyped into accounting or shipping software

Already on WooCommerce and need fixes rather than a new store? See WooCommerce Development.

Scope of work

What goes into an online store we build

Each line appears in your proposal. For organic search after launch, see eCommerce SEO.

  • Written platform recommendation: WooCommerce or Shopify
  • Category, attribute and filter plan for your catalog
  • Product data import and cleanup from spreadsheets or an old store
  • Checkout, payments, shipping and tax configured and tested
  • Inventory, accounting and fulfillment integrations
  • GA4 eCommerce tracking, product schema and redirects
  • A catalog shoppers can browse

Categories and filters are planned from the products you actually stock, so a shopper can narrow a large range down in a few taps.

    Catalog
  • Fewer steps to pay

Only the fields you need, delivery costs shown early and the payment methods your customers already use, tested on phones first.

    Checkout
  • Orders that reach your systems

New orders flow into your inventory, accounting or fulfillment tools automatically, so nobody copies details from one screen to another.

  6. Launch and handover

Shopper path

How a shopper gets from search to order

The four moments an online store has to get right.

Shoppers decide quickly whether a store feels trustworthy. A slow page or an unexpected cost is often enough to end the visit.

We build each step so it answers the shopper’s next question before they have to ask it.

  1. They find it

Clear categories and filters for size, color or use bring the right products to the top.

  2. They compare

Product pages show photos, specs, stock and delivery times without clutter in the way.

  3. They pay

A short checkout shows every cost upfront and offers express wallets where available.

  4. They hear back

Order and shipping emails confirm the purchase, which means fewer where-is-my-order messages.

A well-built store makes buying feel like the obvious next step.

FAQs

eCommerce website development FAQs

Have a question about your own store? Ask us directly.

How much does eCommerce website development cost?

Each store is quoted individually in USD after a call. The main factors are catalog size, the number of integrations, any custom checkout or shipping logic, and how much product data needs importing or cleaning. You receive a written proposal with the price before work starts.

Which is better for my online store, WooCommerce or Shopify?

WooCommerce runs on WordPress and gives you full control of hosting and code, which suits complex products and content-heavy stores. Shopify is hosted, so the platform looks after servers and checkout security, and many teams find it simpler day to day. We recommend one based on your products, your team and the tools you already use.

How long does it take to build an online store?

Typical website development time is 1–4 weeks once the scope is agreed. Large catalogs, several integrations or a lot of product data to clean up take longer, and your proposal sets out the timeline for your store.

Can you move products and customers from my current store?

Usually, yes. Products, categories, images and customer records can be exported and imported, and we check the results against the original store. Old product and category URLs are redirected at launch so existing links and search listings keep working.

Will my store connect to inventory, accounting and shipping software?

In most cases. These tools usually connect through an app, a plugin or an API. We confirm the options for your specific tools during discovery and test each sync with sample orders before launch.

How are payments, shipping and tax set up?

We configure the payment gateways your platform supports in your markets, such as Stripe, PayPal or Shopify Payments, with merchant accounts in your name. Shipping rules follow how you actually send parcels, and tax settings follow what you or your accountant confirm. We set them up, but we do not give tax advice.

Do you support the store after launch?

Yes. You can reach us Saturday to Thursday, with replies within one business day. Updates, backups and small changes are covered by an optional eCommerce maintenance plan, and eCommerce SEO is available if you want to grow organic traffic.
