Custom WordPress development for facility services

Custom WordPress websites built with native blocks instead of a heavy page builder, so pages load quickly and your team can edit them without breaking the design.

WordPress sites we have built are live in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands and the UAE.

Our approach

WordPress development without the page-builder weight

WordPress is a solid platform. When a WordPress site is slow or fragile, the cause is nearly always how it was assembled: a multipurpose theme, a page builder on top, then plugins added one problem at a time.

We write a theme for your site alone. Colors, fonts and spacing live in theme.json, and your content types, such as services, locations, team members or case studies, each get their own fields and templates.

Editors work in the standard WordPress editor, using custom blocks and saved patterns that already match the design.

If a feature takes a few lines of theme code, it does not need a plugin. A shorter plugin list means fewer updates to test and fewer things that can clash.

Signs your WordPress site needs a developer

Most WordPress trouble starts small: a plugin added for one feature, a builder update that moved a layout. A few years on, the site is slow and nobody wants to touch it.

Custom WordPress development replaces that patchwork with code written for your content and the people who edit it.

  • Editing one page shifts the layout of another
  • Core and plugin updates get put off after past breakages
  • Builder scripts slow down even the simplest pages
  • Form entries go missing before they reach your CRM
  • The dashboard is full of notices and menus nobody uses

What’s included

What a custom WordPress build includes

Every item is listed in your proposal. Adding a shop to the site? See WooCommerce Development.

  • Custom block theme coded from your approved design
  • Custom Gutenberg blocks and reusable page patterns
  • Custom post types and fields for structured content
  • Custom plugin development where no good plugin exists
  • Redirects from old URLs, schema and on-page SEO settings
  • User roles, security hardening and a staging site
  • Editing that stays on brand

Each custom block has plain fields for text and images while the styling stays locked, so a new page looks right without any design skills.

    Blocks
  • Content types that fit your business

Services, locations, team profiles or case studies get their own fields and templates, which keeps listings tidy and consistent across the site.

    Content
  • Small, documented plugins

A booking flow or a sync with an internal system goes into a plugin kept separate from the theme, so it survives a future redesign.

Our process

How our WordPress development process works

You approve each milestone in writing before the next one starts.

  1. Site and content review

We list your current pages, content types, plugins and integrations, and note what each one is actually used for.

  2. Proposal and plan

Templates, blocks, plugins and integrations scoped in writing, with a timeline and a price in USD.

  3. Design into blocks

Approved layouts are split into blocks and patterns, with theme.json holding the design rules.

  4. Theme build on staging

The theme and any custom plugins are built on a private staging copy, never on your live site.

  5. Content and QA

Content moved across and old URLs redirected, then forms, speed, user roles and backups checked.

  6. Launch and walkthrough

GA4 and Search Console connected, an editor walkthrough, then optional WordPress maintenance.

For your editors

Publishing a page in four steps

How editing works on a WordPress site we develop.

A site only stays useful if someone keeps it up to date, and that only happens when editing is quick.

So we plan the admin side with the same care as the pages your visitors see.

  1. Sign in

The dashboard shows the menus your role needs, without plugin adverts or upgrade notices.

  2. Start from a pattern

Pick a saved layout, such as a service page or team profile, and the structure is already in place.

  3. Add your content

Type into labeled fields in each block. Fonts, colors and spacing are handled for you.

  4. Preview and publish

Check the mobile preview, hit publish, and the page goes live and into your XML sitemap.

Your team should spend its time on what a page says, not on fixing how it looks.

FAQs

WordPress development FAQs

Question about your current WordPress site? Ask us directly.

How much does custom WordPress development cost?

Each WordPress project is quoted individually in USD after a call. The price depends on the number of templates, the custom blocks and plugins involved and the integrations you need. Scope and price are set out in a written proposal before any work starts.

Do you build with Elementor, Divi or another page builder?

No. We use native WordPress blocks plus custom blocks made for your design. Pages carry less code, and you are not tied to a builder’s licence or update cycle. If your current site uses a builder, we rebuild those pages as blocks and move the content over.

Can you move my site to WordPress from another platform?

Yes. We rebuild the pages in WordPress, carry the content and images across and check each page against the original. Old URLs are redirected to the new ones at launch, so links and search listings keep working.

Do you offer custom WordPress plugin development?

Yes, when no existing plugin does the job cleanly. Common examples are a custom booking flow, a sync with an internal system or an admin tool for your staff. We keep custom plugins separate from the theme so they carry over to a future redesign.

Can our team edit the site without breaking the design?

Yes. Custom blocks keep fonts, colors and spacing fixed while your team changes text and images. At handover we walk your editors through each block and pattern, so they know what goes where.

How do you keep a WordPress site secure?

Every build starts with a short plugin list, separate user roles with only the access each person needs, security hardening and a staging site for changes. After launch, updates, backups and security checks are covered by an optional WordPress maintenance plan.

Will a custom WordPress site be faster than our current one?

In most cases, yes, because the theme only loads the code your pages use and there are no builder scripts on every page. We also compress images, limit fonts and test speed on mobile before launch.
